Let’s be honest. We have all probably been the victims of a at one time or another (several readers will recall pulling the prank themselves, perhaps when they were younger)! But, while the people who are calling find it fascinatingly funny, it can really get on your last nerve. You want to reach your hand through the phone and choke them or anything else that will make them move on and find something better to do. The problem with tracing prank calls is that if it’s a cell phone number, you can run into problems. Since a lot of cell phone numbers are not listed, you can have a hard time finding out who the cell phone belongs to.

Who Did You Call? – How to Trace Phone Numbers

Posted on 29 March 2008 by Steven A. Maclin, Ph. D.

Harpo #1 (304)
Creative Commons License photo credit: dougwwOftentimes, when my cell phone bill (or any other type of phone bill) comes in, I do not recognize a number or two… often more than that. I don’t remember dialing this number or that number. I don’t know who I’ve been talking to, or for that matter, if they are truly legitimate calls that I have made.

We all know that all types of phone companies (cell and landline) are very well known for “overcharging” their customers, getting records mixed up, etc. We also know that some how or other, sometimes charges can come up that do not belong to the owner, whether they were put there on “accident” by a cell phone company, landline company, or someone who has achieved the capability to intercept our accounts, be it a hacker, a scam artist, or identity theft. These things do happen. What can we do?

Thanks to some wonderful technology and our ability to access the internet, with a little know-how, we can generally find out a lot about the numbers on our phone bill by using a service called “reverse phone number look up”.

How to Trace Phone Number - The Hannah Montana Phone Number!

I’m not sure about anybody else, but my favorite singer/ entertainer is, little Miss. , otherwise known as ! Lot of people swear she’s soooo funny and cool . . . more importantly, she takes a real interest in people in her audience and their lives. I’ve found, in recent months, that I’ve wanted to trace her cell number, not to be mean or anything like that, but just to tell her what an impact she’s had on me.

So, I tried and tried calling one of the schools she used to go to, but since she’s no longer there, they wouldn’t release any information on how to trace her cell number. Guess you could say I was sort of left up a tree. I thought it was quite sad that I would never be able to cell trace her phone, or tell her what a great performer she was.

Why Doesn’t Horton Just Use Free People Finders?

Posted on 17 March 2008 by Steven A. Maclin, Ph. D.

Social media megamovie, has some limitations I’m just not happy with. Ironically, it has to do with people finders com — or actually, the non-use of people finders com. My 11-year old niece enjoys receiving text alerts to her mobile whenever someone pokes her, or leaves her a message. But, for some reason, she aptly reminded me this weekend, Horton the elephant may have been checking out what’s going on in Who-ville, but if he’s that curious about finding people, he should have been checking out all the many “free people finders” on the web!
